Women are made to feel guilty about so many things. Having children and working, furthering their careers. They are told they are not doing enough for their kids. If we choose to stay at home then we are not contributing or we are lazy. Really? I burn more calories chasing my toddler for an hour than many people burn in an entire week of sitting behind a desk. Plus, childcare is CRAZY expensive, I am not going to give up time with my precious children just to send one child to daycare.
If we eat a cupcake, we feel like we have to run to the gym for an hour after work. Don’t get me wrong, I go to the gym, but I have been known to eat that cupcake after my trip to the gym. What can I say they taste GOOD!! Something else women are made to feel guilty about..Caring for their husbands. I make it a point to make sure my husband has lunch each day and a hot meal to come home to. He works hard, very hard all day. He needs to know he is loved and appreciated. The house is somewhat clean when he gets here. Come on, I have a toddler, plus I run an in home daycare. It isn’t perfect. But, so what? My husband and kids are fed, warm and happy.
I better get going. I am heading to the gym tonight, then planning to eat that Reese’s Peanut Butter Pumpkin chillin in my fridge while watching Supernatural with my 17 year old. 😉
